Mission : The Windham Economic Development Committee encourages commercial growth consistent with the Windham Master Plan, promoting the spirit of the town motto: “Old Values – New Horizons”

The Windham Economic Development Committee was organized by the Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce in June of 2007 to promote tax positive growth for the Town of Windham.   The committee is composed of community leaders chosen for their complementary skills and interests.   The committee seeks to identify and assist town officials in enabling suitable commercial development that is in keeping with the unique needs of the town.

The committee has applied for CTAP and DRED grants for assistance in their mission, and has used funds received to join a partnership organized by Northeastern University, called The Center for Urban and Regional Policy (CURP).   This partnership provides a comprehensive evaluation of the resources of the town of Windham, and works with the committee to best utilize the strengths of the community for positive development.
