Economic Development Committee
Mission: To develop and maintain a successful communication network between business and local government.
Recently, the Economic Development Committee appointed a new Chairman. In December, Dick Gregory of Breckenridge Associates, accepted this new responsibility and will continue to help this committee grow and develop into a strong voice for the business community. The committee, under Mr. Gregory’s leadership, has begun to take on an advocacy role; as they more closely examine town issues, such as recently proposed zoning amendments in Salem; and position themselves to educate local business leaders and act as a liaison with local legislators and community leaders. The Economic Development Committee enjoys a strong working relationship with the Town of Salem, and plans to work hard at developing similar relationships in the towns of Atkinson, Hampstead, Pelham and Windham. The goal is to bring business to each of those communities and aid in the growth of existing business. If you are interested in helping the Economic Development Committee meet its goals, join them at their monthly meeting the 1st Tuesday of every month.
